Can anybody please explain how spring ratings work? 'M' versus "mm".
What FPS would a M100 achieve in a standard M4 setup and what would be the relative spring in "mm" be?

The “M” ratings are fairly straightforward. In a properly sealed V2 or V3 blaster you *should* get the M rating in metres per second, so an M100 should get you up around 100 m/s, which is about 330 feet per second. In practise you’ll usually get less than the rating (in my experience with V2 blasters and short 10” style barrels).
Measuring the spring wire thickness doesn’t really tell you the whole story, the wind and material in the spring will make a difference to its output.
I found an Ausgel 1.18 uneven spring is a bit less than an ASG M95, for what it’s worth.
